Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron will hold a bilateral meeting in France during commemoration events for the 100th anniversary of World War I, Trudeau's office said in a press release on Monday.

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 05th November, 2018) Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron will hold a bilateral meeting in France during commemoration events for the 100th anniversary of World War I, Trudeau's office said in a press release on Monday.

"The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that he will travel to France from November 10 to 12, 2018, to attend commemoration events for the 100th anniversary of the First World War Armistice and the first-ever Paris Peace Forum," the release said. "During the visit, Prime Minister Trudeau will meet with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, to further strengthen the deep friendship between our two countries, and explore ways to promote even closer collaboration.

The release said Trudeau will also attend the Paris Peace Forum, which is a new event created to bring together political, economic and civil society leaders from around the world.

Other leaders from around the world, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, are expected in Paris for the 100th anniversary celebration as well.
