US President Donald Trump did not make any direct accusations against Russian President Vladimir Putin when answering a question about his possible involvement in the poisoning incidents, there cannot be any evidence-based accusations against the Russian leader, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) US President Donald Trump did not make any direct accusations against Russian President Vladimir Putin when answering a question about his possible involvement in the poisoning incidents, there cannot be any evidence-based accusations against the Russian leader, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
In the CBS interview aired on Sunday, Trump said that Putin was "probably" involved in assassinations and poisonings when asked a relevant question.
"I would not say that 'Trump admitted [Putin's possible involvement in poisonings],' as we read in many media outlets ... The US president did not make any direct accusations, and there cannot be any accusations against the Russian president based on at least some arguments or even evidence. This is how we see it," Peskov told reporters, when asked to comment on Trump's remarks.
