Trump Offers New Zealand Leader US Help In Aftermath Of Mosque Massacre

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th March, 2019) The United States is ready to assist New Zealand in the aftermath of a massacre at two mosques during Friday prayers in which at least 49 people were killed, President Donald Trump told Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Friday.
"Just spoke with Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, regarding the horrific events that have taken place over the past 24 hours," Trump said on Twitter. "I informed the Prime Minister that we stand in solidarity with New Zealand - and that any assistance the U.
S.A. can give, we stand by ready to help. We love you New Zealand!"
A gunman who espoused racist and anti-immigration views live streamed the first of two attacks attacks at the Al Noor mosque in Christchurch before driving three miles to a second mosque in the city suburbs to continue his rampage, according to published reports.
A 28-year old man as been charged with murder and three others were being questioned, reports said. Ardern said earlier that none of the suspects had been on terrorist watch lists.
