MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) US President Donald Trump has said that he had been considering for a long time the decision to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Trump tweeted on Thursday that it was time Washington fully recognized the Golan Heights territory as belonging to Israel.

"I've been thinking about doing it for a long time. It's been a very hard decision for every president, no president has done it," Trump told FOX business in an interview answering the request to explain the timing for the decision.
