Trump Threatens To Intervene In FBI, Justice Department

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) US President Donald Trump threatened Thursday to intervene in the Justice Department and the FBI if they do not do they job right.

"Our Justice Department and our FBI have to start doing their job and doing it right and doing it now because people are angry," he said at a late night rally in Evansville, Indiana.

Trump said his former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton was "getting away with" a lot. He has repeatedly criticized the DoJ for dogging him over claims of collusion with Russia, while ignoring transgressions by Democrats.

"What's happening is a disgrace, and at some point - I wanted to stay out - but at some point if it doesn't straighten out properly I will get involved and I'll get in there if I have to," he warned.

Trump has often referred to the probe by DoJ's special counsel Robert Mueller into Russia's alleged tampering with the 2016 election as a "witch hunt." Russia has also denied any involvement.
