Trump Was Unaware Of Change To Platform Amendment To Arm Ukraine - Mueller Report

�WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th April, 2019) US President Donald Trump told investigators in the Russia probe he was unaware of changes to the Republican party's platform on arming Ukraine, Special Counsel Robert Mueller said in his redacted final report released to the public on Thursday.

"I have no recollection of the details of what, when, or from what source I first learned about the change to the platform amendment regarding arming Ukraine, but I generally recall learning of the issue as part of media reporting," Trump told investigators in his written responses to their questions.

"I do not recall being involved in changing the language to the amendment."

Media reports have said the Trump campaign encouraged the Republican party to adopt a more pro-Russian policy by opposing arms deliveries to Ukraine.

Since Trump's election, his administration has continued to support Ukraine with arms sales. In March, the United States announced a $47 million sale of 210 Javelin anti-tank missiles and 37 launchers to Ukraine.
