Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney of President Donald Trump, has reached a plea deal in the investigation into election campaign financial violations, tax and bank fraud, US media reported on Tuesday.

Cohen entered the plea agreement in a Manhattan Federal court during the afternoon, ABC news reported.
The US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is investigating Cohen for potential bank and tax fraud and campaign finance violations.
Multiple media outlets said that Cohen would likely cooperate with prosecutors if the parties strike a deal.
The US Department of Justice is investigating Cohen for bank fraud, tax evasion and payments to pornography actress Stormy Daniels who allegedly had an affair with Trump but signed an agreement to keep silent about their relationship.
On April 9, the FBI raided Cohen's home and office seizing most documents, including documents pertaining to payoffs to Daniels.
Cohen told ABC News in July that that he was considering working with federal authorities and his loyalty would be to his family and country.
