Several Arab states, including Tunisia and Algeria, are coordinating their efforts to bring Syria back to the Arab League, a source in the Tunisian presidential administration told Sputnik Wednesday.

The Arab League suspended Syria's membership in 2011 over the beginning of the conflict.

"Coordination is ongoing between several Arab states, including Tunisia and Algeria, on the suggestion to unfreeze Syria's membership," the source said.
