ANKARA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th April, 2019) Ankara hopes that its partners on the F-35 jet project will fulfill their obligations as stipulated under the deal, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said Wednesday following his talks with US counterpart Patrick Shanahan in Washington.
"Negotiations with the US Secretary of Defense were positive. We noted with great satisfaction that the United States' views had become closer to ours. We have fulfilled all our commitments within the F-35 project and everybody admits it. In the same way, we expect that all eight countries participating in the project will fulfill their obligations toward us," the minister said, as cited by the Anadolu agency.
