MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th November, 2018) Two Syrian servicemen were killed and seven others injured in a militant attack on a research center quarter in the city of Aleppo, the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria said on Monday.
"Over the past day, terrorists attacked positions of the Syrian government forces near Jubb-al-Zarur in Latakia province and carried out eight attacks on residential areas in northwest of Aleppo. Two Syrian servicemen were killed and seven wounded as a result of the attack at the research centre quarter in Aleppo," the center's head, Lt.
Gen. Vladimir Savchenko, said.
The official pointed out that despite the ceasefire militants in the Idlib de-escalation zone continued to violate the truce.
According to Savchenko, a meeting was held with representatives of the committee on refugee affairs in Aleppo with the parties having agreed on the list of equipment needed for preparing accommodation facilities for the winter season.
Russia, Turkey and Iran have been guarantors of the Syrian ceasefire since they signed the Astana agreements on the establishment of de-escalation zones in 2017.
