MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th March, 2019) Two Turkish nationals were injured in a mass shooting in New Zealand and are currently in treatment, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Friday.
Mass shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand, left 49 people dead and 39 more injured, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said Friday. One person has been charged with murder.
"We were very sad to learn that two of our citizens in New Zealand ... were injured. They are currently in hospital, in treatment," Cavusoglu told a press conference after talks with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
The Turkish foreign minister wished speedy recovery to all people injured in the shooting.
Cavusoglu pointed out that the attack was caused not only by "direct perpetrators," but also by "irresponsible politicians" inciting hatred against Muslims.
