UK Nation Evenly Split On Introduction Of Visa Regime For EU Citizens After Brexit - Poll

UK nationals are split on the issue of whether EU citizens should get a visa to visit the United Kingdom for work or tourism after Brexit, a fresh YouGov poll showed on Monday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) UK nationals are split on the issue of whether EU citizens should get a visa to visit the United Kingdom for work or tourism after Brexit, a fresh YouGov poll showed on Monday.
According to the results, 42 percent of the surveyed oppose the introduction of a visa regime for EU citizens, while 40 percent support it.
At the same time, 48 percent of UK citizens oppose a visa regime with the European Union for work or holidays, however 30 percent would support the need to get a visa before traveling to the bloc, the poll indicated.
Freedom of movement has been of one of the stumbling blocks in divorce talks between London and Brussels. The United Kingdom will leave the European Union in March 2019. So far, the two sides have failed to reach a divorce agreement.
