The United States is conducting simultaneous training flights of its B-52 Stratofortresses in the Indo-Pacific and Europe to demonstrate America's support of its allies, US European Command (EUCOM) said in a statement on Monday

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th March, 2019) The United States is conducting simultaneous training flights of its B-52 Stratofortresses in the Indo-Pacific and Europe to demonstrate America's support of its allies, US European Command (EUCOM) said in a statement on Monday.

"US Air Force B-52 Stratofortresses are conducting simultaneous training flights in the US European Command and US Indo-Pacific Command areas of responsibility," the statement said.

The missions are intended to serve "as a clear and visible demonstration of US commitment to global allies and partners," it added.

The effort is being closely coordinated between US European, Indo-Pacific and Strategic Commands, as well as US Air Forces in Europe, EUCOM said.
