US Airmen, Officials Deploy To Liberia For Outbreak Response Conference - Air Force

US airmen and representatives from other US government agencies are joining 21 African countries for an African Partner Outbreak Response Alliance conference, the US Air Force said in a press release on Tuesday.
"Airmen with US Air Forces Africa, along with other US government agencies and 21 African partner nations, have arrived in Monrovia, Liberia, to participate in an African Partner Outbreak Response Alliance [APORA] conference," the release said.
During the conference, military and civilian leaders will work together on best practices and response capabilities for outbreaks of contagious diseases, the release said.
The goal of the training is to strengthen the pandemic programs in new partner countries and improve relations with current partners, the release added.
