US Designates Amaq News, Al Hayat Media Center As Islamic State Aliases - State Dept

The United States has designated Amaq News Agency and Al Hayat Media Center as aliases of the Islamic State (IS, or Daesh, banned in Russia) terrorist group, the US State Department announced in a press release on Thursday
"The Department of State has amended the terrorist designations of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to include Amaq News Agency, Al Hayat Media Center, and other aliases," the release said. "Today's actions notify the U.S. public and the international community that Amaq News Agency and Al Hayat Media Center are aliases of ISIS."
