The United States does not abandon attempts to disrupt the work on the formation of the constitutional committee of Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters Monday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 11th February, 2019) The United States does not abandon attempts to disrupt the work on the formation of the constitutional committee of Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters Monday.
"Now that the issue of finding ways for further stabilization in Syria is intensively raised, to solve the problem of forming a constitutional committee, this is the issue that will be considered by the [Russian, Iranian and Turkish] leaders, the significance of the event [upcoming February 14 three-party summit in Sochi] is further increasing," he said.
"We believe that by the joint efforts of the guarantor countries we will succeed in achieving this goal. Unfortunately, we see the ongoing attempts of our opponents - the United States and other members of the so-called small group - to disrupt this work," Ryabkov said.
