WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th April, 2019) The United States cannot confirm that it will participate in a meeting with Jordan and Russia on Syria's Rukban refugee camp, a State Department spokesperson told Sputnik on Thursday amid reports that talks are being planned for the near future.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi told Russia's Izvestiya newspaper on Thursday that the next round of Jordanian-Russian-US talks on the situation in Rukban would be held in the near future.

"We have no meetings to announce at this point," the State Department official said when asked about the report.
