US Judge Dismisses Adult Film Star's Defamation Lawsuit Against Trump - Court Filing

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th October, 2018) A US Federal judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit adult film Star Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels, filed against President Donald Trump, a court filing revealed.

"Order granting defendant Donald J. Trump's special motion to dismiss/strike complaint," the court filing said on Monday.

In April, Clifford filed a lawsuit against Trump over a statement on Twitter questioning her credibility. Trump was accused of intentionally sending a public message to millions of people who follow him to denigrate and attack Clifford.

The adult film star's lawyer said Clifford has suffered damage as a result of this statement in an amount in excess of $75,000.
