MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th February, 2019) Refugees from the Rukban camp in Syria should have long been evacuated, but the United States and the militants under its control forbid them to leave, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters Monday.
This Syrian camp, which is located in the territory controlled by the United States, is currently in a difficult humanitarian situation.
"It's high time to evacuate refugees from there [Rukban camp]. We, jointly with the Syrian government, call for this. But the United States and extremists under its control, who control this camp, forbid people to leave it," Lavrov said.
