MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th March, 2019) The United States would like incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to win the upcoming presidential election, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.
"Currently Ukraine is governed from abroad, particularly from Washington.
The United States says in its statements that it will support any candidate elected during the election. At the same time it is obvious that it is oriented to Poroshenko, who is fulfilling all the instructions of his foreign sponsors," Patrushev told the Izvestiya newspaper in an interview.
The first round of the Ukrainian presidential election is scheduled for March 31.
