US Security Adviser Says To Meet With Russian Security Secretary In Geneva On Thursday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th August, 2018) US National Security Adviser John Bolton said on Sunday that he would hold a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev in Geneva on Thursday, August 23.

On Friday, a spokesman for the Russian Security Council said that the bilateral meeting might take place in Geneva before the end of August.

"We have agreed that what we can do at the meeting [with Patrushev] on Thursday is look at a broad range of issues that might be open for discussion between Washington and Moscow and try and plan it out in systematic way," Bolton told the ABC broadcaster.

The meeting came about after the summit between the US and Russian leaders in Helsinki in July, according to the official.
