US Spent Over $8Mln On Russia Probe In 6-Month Period Through September - Justice Dept

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th December, 2018) The US Justice Department in a report released on Friday said it spent more than $8 million overall from April through September on the Trump-Russia probe including $4.5 million by the Special Counsel's office.
"The accompanying Statement of Expenditures summarizes the financial activity of the Special Counsel's Office (SCO) for the period April 1, 2018 through September 30, 2018," the document said. "Total SCO Expenditures... $ 4,567,533."
On top of the special counsel's office expenditures, the Justice Department spent an additional $3.9 million on expenses related to the investigation into Russia's alleged role in the 2016 presidential election.
