US To Withhold Aid From Countries That Vote Against US Interests In World Forums - Bolton

The Trump administration has launched a new Africa strategy under which the United States will no longer provide aid to countries that vote or take actions against US interests in international forums, National Security Advisor John Bolton said in Washington, DC on Thursday.
"Countries that repeatedly vote against the United States in international forums or take actions counter to US interests should not receive generous American foreign aid," Bolton said at a Heritage Foundation event.
Bolton added that while the United States is not like other countries who may provide assistance in order to receive a country's dependency, it will "draw the line at funding causes that harm our interests and our citizens."
American resources will be directed at areas where taxpayer Dollars will be used in the most efficient manner, Bolton said.
The Trump administration's new Africa strategy will take effect immediately, he added.
