MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd February, 2019) The United States is deploying its special forces and weapons closer to the Venezuelan border, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Friday.
"Washington is preparing a provocation and does it according to the rules of the military science...
We note the transfer of US special troops and weapons closer to Venezuela's borders," Zakharova said.
According to the spokeswoman, the situation in Venezuela has reached a critical point.
"If the plotters of the provocation implement their plans, the US foreign policy will reach a new level of aggressiveness... It will mean a rapid escalation of tensions in the world," the spokeswoman added.
