US Undersecretary Says Russia Did Not Offer Verifiable Measures on INF Treaty in Geneva

The offers made by Russia during the US-Russian consultations on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty in Geneva were not verifiable under the arms control regime, US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson told reporters on Wednesday

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) The offers made by Russia during the US-Russian consultations on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty in Geneva were not verifiable under the arms control regime, US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson told reporters on Wednesday.

"All the offers that the Russian delegation made yesterday none of them, and I will reiterate that none of the 'transparent measures' were verifiable under the arms control regime," Thompson said.
