MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st January, 2019) Venezuelan rebel military personnel involved in an uprising attempt in Caracas have been apprehended, Diosdado Cabello, the president of the Constituent Assembly, said Monday.

Nacional outlet reported earlier in the day that military personnel seized a military office in western Caracas.

A video of military who purportedly took control of one of the city districts appeared on social networks.

"Yet again, our national Bolivarian Armed Forces ... detain a small group of thugs and traitors of the homeland, who stole the arms to perpetuate violence and fuel concern amid the people. We will win," Cabello said on Twitter.
