Vostok 2018 strategic exercises will be unprecedented in scale, Chinese and Mongolian military will take part in the drills, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Monday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th August, 2018) Vostok 2018 strategic exercises will be unprecedented in scale, Chinese and Mongolian military will take part in the drills, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Monday.
"This is the largest drills of the Armed Forces, which acquired the status of international drills, since the Zapad 1981 exercises, it has an unprecedented scale, both in terms of spatial scope and number of involved military command, troops and forces," Shoigu said.
The minister noted that the strategic exercise would be participated by Chinese and Mongolian troops.
