THE HAAGUE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th November, 2018) The results of the vote on the Russian-Chinese proposal to set up a working group to assess the legality of the expansion of the mandate of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) show that the split in the organization is growing deeper, Georgy Kalamanov, the head of the Russian delegation at the OPCW, told Sputnik on Tuesday.

"The Russian-Chinese proposal was backed by 30 delegations, 82 were against, 31 representatives abstained, while 10 left the room. So 71 delegations did not support the West. This shows that the split in the OPCW is only growing deeper," Kalamanov said.
