Vyshinsky's Defense To File Complaint Over Detention Conditions In Kiev Prison

The defense of the RIA Novosti Ukraine portal head Kirill Vyshinsky, who has been in Ukrainian custody since May 2018, will file a complaint with the prison administration in Kiev, as well as with the Russian and Ukrainian ombudswomen over poor detention conditions of the journalist, his lawyer Andriy Domansky told Sputnik on Monday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th March, 2019) The defense of the RIA Novosti Ukraine portal head Kirill Vyshinsky, who has been in Ukrainian custody since May 2018, will file a complaint with the prison administration in Kiev, as well as with the Russian and Ukrainian ombudswomen over poor detention conditions of the journalist, his lawyer Andriy Domansky told Sputnik on Monday.

Domansky earlier visited Vyshinsky in the Lukyanovka pre-trial detention center in Kiev, where the journalist had been transferred from a Kherson prison. According to the lawyer, Vyshinsky is being kept in "the most horrible conditions" with four or five more people in a cell with no light.

"I'm getting ready to appeal to [Lyudmila] Denisova, Ukraine's ombudswoman. I'll inform the Russian ombudswoman and her staff, as well ... I think we'll get the reaction because I don't know why it has been done," Domansky said.
