Yerevan, Moscow Continue To Discuss Putin's Upcoming Visit To Armenia - Foreign Ministry

Moscow and Yerevan continue to discuss details of Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Armenia, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Tigran Balayan, told reporters on Wednesday.
YEREVAN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th September, 2018) Moscow and Yerevan continue to discuss details of Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Armenia, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Tigran Balayan, told reporters on Wednesday.
Earlier in September, Putin met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow. After the talks, the Armenian prime minister said that he had invited Putin to visit Yerevan. According to Pashinyan, Putin is going to visit Armenia in the near future. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Putin's plans to visit Yerevan but pointed out that the date had not been determined yet.
"The discussions about the Russian president's upcoming visit to Armenia are underway. The time line has not been determined yet. I can only say that both we and Russia have announced that the visit was going to happen in the near future," Balayan said.
On Tuesday, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan told reporters that Pashinyan and Putin would meet on the sidelines of the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the Tajikistani capital of Dushanbe on Thursday.
