Zelenskiy's Team Gets Over 1,600 Reports Of Violations During Ukraine's Runoff Election

The campaign team of Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday that it received over 1,600 messages about violations that took place during Ukraine's runoff presidential election
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) The campaign team of Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday that it received over 1,600 messages about violations that took place during Ukraine's runoff presidential election.
Before the polls opened on Sunday, Zelenskiy's team called on Ukrainian citizens to report via the Telegram instant-messing service any instances of electoral fraud they witnessed throughout the day.
"Over 24 hours, we received 1,675 messages regarding witnessed violations. Thank you for being responsible!" the campaign team said on Telegram.
Zelenskiy and incumbent Petro Poroshenko faced off in the second round of the presidential election on Sunday. Zelenskiy has secured 73.2 percent of the vote with 99 percent of the ballots counted. Poroshenko has already offered his successor a shoulder to lean on.
