Importance of Dua

We cannot deny the importance of praying to Allah. Du'a is one of the most effective remedies. It is the enemy of deadly disease; it heals, avoids, and eases or eliminates disease. Dua is the believer's weapon.

One of the best ways to get closer to Allah and convey our vulnerability and need to Him, we can ask Him for help. We should rely even more on Allah during times of hardship, and it is much more necessary to pray to Allah for peace and protection humbly.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:

O Allah, I ask You to be saved from any Distress, Grief, Hardship, Harm, and Don’t test me.

Everyone on the planet is currently scared of the dangerous coronavirus. As Muslims, we conclude that Allah's Kaalam would protect us from the coronavirus. While there is no clear dua to keep you away from this illness, but some suggested dua's are beneficial. However, Muhammad (PBUH) did not rely on miracles; he encouraged us to work hard and take appropriate measures.

“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves ”

(Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:11)

Have Tawakul on Allah

When we are sick, we feel uncertain and helpless, and it is in these times that we turn to our Allah and believe that anything can happen to a person by the will of Allah. In this pandemic, we remind ourselves that we are completely dependent on Allah. We have no control over our lives.

We understand His strength and turn to Him, remembering that He is the Almighty, and say:

“Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Protector. In Allah let the believers put their trust.”

This situation gets us closer to Allah because when someone face any challenges, we are advised to say:

‎ إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون

‎Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

‎“Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him shall we return.” َ
