Rajab is a sacred month for Muslims. The verbal meaning of the word Rajab is to respect. And in the chronal order, it is the seventh month of the Muslim calendar. Rajab is among the four sacred months in which battles were forbidden. The names for other sacred months are  Muharram, Dhu al-Qadah, and Dhu al-Hijjah. 1st Rajab 2022 in Pakistan is on the 3rd of February 2022. Events in the month of Rajab

  • The Battle of Tabouk took place in the month of Rajab.
  • The Second pledge to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) took place at al-Aqabah in the month of Rajab.
  • 13 Rajab was the date when our Fourth Caliph Hazrat Alī ibn Abī Tālib was born.
  • On the 26th of Rajab, Hazrat Abu Talib ibn Abdul Muttalib, uncle of Our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), died.
  • On the 27th of Rajab, our Holy Prophet (SAW) took the journey of Shab-e-Miraj or Isra and Mi'raj.

Shab-e-Miraj

27th Rajab was the night when our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) took on the journey to meet the Almighty. On this trip, He was given the gift of 5 prayers and the last two verses of Sura al-Baqarah. Further, our Holy Prophet took the trip to offer prayer at Al-Isra or the dome of the rock masjid.
