Ashra Mubashra

Ashra Mubashra were the close companions of the Holy Prophet who will be awarded Jannah. Rasoolullah (SAW) gave them this news in their life. These are the personalities that stood straight with the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) in each hard and fast time. They put them each and everything for the prosperity of Islam. 

The ten blessed Ashra Mubashra are as follows:

  1. Hazrat Abu Bakar Sadique (RA)
  2. Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA)
  3. Hazrat Usman (RA)
  4. Hazrat Ali (RA)
  5. Hazrat Zubair Ibn Al-Awam (RA)
  6. Hazrat Talha (RA)
  7. Hazrat Abdul Rehman bin Auf (RA)
  8. Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Ibn Al Jarah (RA)
  9. Hazrat Saad Ibn Abi Waqas (RA)
  10. Hazrat Saeed Bin Zaid (RA)

Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA)

Hazrat Abu Bakar Ibn Uthman (RA) was the 1st caliph of Muslims. He (RA) was the close companion and father-in-law of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He (RA) was a wealthy businessman. After accepting Islam, He (RA) contribute His whole wealth for the benefit of Muslims. Hazrat Abu Bakar Sadique (RA) migrated with the Rasoolullah from Makkah to Madina.

He (RA) always stood with the Holy Prophet (SAW). Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) fought important battles for the Muslims, like the Battle of Badar and the battle of Uhud. 

He (RA) works as the first caliph of Muslims for 27 months only. Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) was died due to prolonged fever. He (RA) sent a message to Hazrat Ali (RA) in his last days that Hazrat Ali (RA) will give Him Ghusal. At the death of Hazrat Abu Bakar Sadiq (RA), Hazrat Ali (RA) gave Him ghusal. Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) offered His funeral Prayer, and He (RA) was buried beside the grave of the Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). 

Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA)

According to the English calendar, Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) died on 23 August. Muslims selected Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) as their second caliph on the same day. Hazrat Umer Ibn Khattab (RA) is considered the most powerful and successful caliph of Muslims History. 

Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) was very brave. His (RA) bravery was famous in the entire Arab. Muslims offered prayer secretly from the nonbelievers of Islam. When Hazrat Umer (RA) accepted Islam, Muslims offered their prayers openly in Kabbah. 

Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) ordered the Muslims to migrate to Madina. Muslims migrated in the darkness of night. Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) announced that anybody who wants to make his lady widow and children orphan could follow me. He (RA) started the journey from the Makkah in daylight.

He (RA) had a successful era as caliph. He (RA) introduced many new departments and reforms in the Muslim community. 

After His death, He (RA) was buried beside the grave of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

Hazrat Usman (RA)

Hazrat Usman Ibn Affan (RA) was the third caliph of Muslims. He (RA) was born in Makkah. Hazrat Usman (RA) was married to two daughters of the Holy Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Ruqayyah (RA) and Hazrat Umme Khulthum (RA). 

Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) convinced Hazrat Usman (RA) to embrace Islam. He (RA) embraced Islam and became one of the early followers of Islam. 

Hazrat Ali (RA) sold His shield to Hazrat Usman (RA) at 500 dirhams to fulfill the wedding expenses. From those 500 dirhams, Hazrat Ali (RA) paid 400 dirhams to Hazrat Fatima (RA) as Mehr. Later on, Hazrat Usman (RA) returned the shield to Hazrat Ali (RA) as His wedding gift.

Hazrat Usman (RA) has the honor that He (RA) prepared a standard version of the Holy Quran. He (RA) ordered the Muslims to Follow that Quran. 

Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)

Hazrat Ali (RA) was the cousin of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). Hazrat Ali (RA) was born in Kabbah. Kabbah is the holiest place for Muslims. He (RA) embraced Islam at the age of 10 years old. 

Hazrat Ali (RA) was married to the youngest daughter of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), Hazrat Fatima (RA). 

Hazrat Ali (RA) endangered His life on the night of Rasoolullah’s (SAW) migration. He (RA) slept at the bed of the Holy Prophet (SAW) to make His (SAW) migration successful. In the early morning, He (RA) succeeded in saving His life from the Quresh e Makkah. 

Hazrat Ali (RA) was the 4th caliph of Sunni Muslims and the 1st caliph of Shia Muslims. He (RA) fought many battles with bravery for the Muslims. Hazrat Ali (RA) conquered the khyber fort for the prosperity of Islam.  

On 19th Ramzan, Hazrat Ali (RA) was offering Fajar prayer in Kufa mosque. A person attacked Him with a sword that had poison on it. He (RA) remained ill for two days and then died on 21st Ramzan. The shrine of Hazrat Ali (RA) is in the city of Najaf, Iraq.

Hazrat Zubair Ibn Al-Awam (RA)

Hazrat Zubair Ibn Al-Awam (RA) was the cousin and close companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He (RA) was one of the five individuals who accepted Islam and stood with the Holy Prophet (SAW). Hazrat Zubair (RA) fought many battles for the Muslims, including the battle of Badr, the Battle of Uhud, the battle of Trench, and the battle of Khyber. He (RA) always used to wear a yellow turban in battles. 

He (RA) died in the battle of the camel. He (RA) was offering prayer when Amir Ibn Jhurmuz attacked Him, and He (RA) could not survive that attack. 

Hazrat Talha (RA)

Hazrat Talha (RA) was one of the companions of the Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). Hazrat Abu Bakar Sadiq (RA) convinced Him to embrace Islam. He (RA) was one of the eight early Muslims. 

He (RA) fought the famous battles, battle of Uhud and battle of Camel. Hazrat Talha ibn Ubaydullah (RA) got an arrow injury in the battle of the camel. His (RA) blood did not stop, and He (RA) died due to that injury. His (RA) tomb is in Basra, Iraq.

Hazrat Abdul Rehman bin Auf (RA)

Hazrat Abdul Rehman (RA) embraced Islam after a discussion with Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA). He (RA) fought the battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud. Hazrat Abdul Reham (RA) had great importance in the era of the first two caliphs. He (RA) helped the Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) in his governance. He (RA) was a member of shura in the era of Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA). 

Hazrat Abdul Rehman Bin Awf (RA) died in Madina. His (RA) grave is in Jannah Al Baqi. 

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Ibn Al Jarah (RA)

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (RA) embraced Islam One day after the Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA). He (RA) fought many battles, battle of Badr, Battle of Uhud, the conquest of Makkah, battle of Hunayn, and the battle of Tabuk. Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (RA) remained with the Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) during His caliph era. Hazrat Umer (RA) appointed Him (RA) as the supreme leader of the army in His (RA) era.

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (RA) fought the battle of Emesa, the battle of Yarmuk, and the battle of Syria under the caliph Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA). Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Al Jarah (RA) was died in 639 CE. His (RA) grave is in Jabiya.

Hazrat Saad Ibn Abi Waqas (RA)

He (RA) embraced Islam at the age of seventeen. He (RA) was the seventh person who embraced Islam. Hazrat Saad (RA) fought the battle of Badr and the battle of Uhud. He (RA) was the member who built the Kufa city. Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) appointed Him (RA) as the governor of Kufa and Najaf. Hazrat Umer Farooq (RA) nominate six-person for the third caliph post; Hazrat Saad’s (RA) name was in those six persons. 

Hazrat Usman (RA) appointed Hazrat Saad (RA) as the governor of Kufa for the second time. Hazrat Saad (RA) has the credit that He (RA) preached Islam in China. He (RA) also built a mosque in the city of Bangladesh with the name Abu Akkas Mosque. 

Hazrat Saad (RA) died at the age of eighty years.

Hazrat Saeed Bin Zaid (RA)

Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid (RA) is among the early acceptors of Islam. During the caliph of Hazrat Abu Muawiya (RA), Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid (RA) was appointed as the caliph of Kufa. Hazrat Saeed Bin Zaid (RA) died in Kufa. His (RA) body was brought back to Madina.
