Quran is the Holy book of Muslims. Early books of Allah on different Prophets do not exist in their original shape. People of that nations brought changes in their Holy books. Quran is the last Holy book of Allah Almighty for the welfare of humanity. No one can do any change in this Holy book. Muslims have a strong belief and faith in their Holy Book. 

Prophets mentioned in Quran

Following Prophets are mentioned in the Holy Quran.

1. Hazrat Adam (A.S)

Hazrat Adam (A.S) is the first Prophet of Allah and the first human being on earth sent by Allah Almighty. His name is mentioned in Holy Quran in 25 different places. He is also known as the father of all humanity. His wife “Hawa” is known as the mother of all humanity. 

2. Hazrat Idris (A.S)

Hazrat Idris was the third Prophet of Allah. He was very polite with a low voice and had a good broad chest. He was born during the life of Hazrat Adam (A.S). Hazrat Idris was a very sincere servant of Allah. Allah chose him as his Prophet and elected him to rule over the children of Hazrat Adam (A.S). He was the first Prophet to teach people how to write with a pen. He lived a life of 120 years.

3. Hazrat Noah (A.S)

Hazrat Noah (A.S) was the Prophet of Allah. For many years people of Noah (A.S) worshiped statues that they called Gods. They believe that these Gods would protect them from any unforeseen situation, provide good health, and provide all their needs. Allah chose Hazrat Noah (A.S) among them to tell that what they were doing was not good. People did not listen to him and continued to do bad things. As a result of this, heavy rain was sent by Allah to Noah’s people, and that water eliminated the name of those who laughed at Hazrat Noah (A.S). His name is mentioned 43 times in Holy Quran.

4. Hazrat Hud (A.S)

Hazrat Hud (A.S) was from the 5th generation of Hazrat Noah (A.S). He belonged to a tribe named “Ad Ibn Uus Ibn Sam Ibn Noah”, they were Arabs and lived Al-Akhaf in Yamen. Prophet Hud (A.S) was sent on People of Ad by Allah as they were very brilliant and great architects. They build mansions very cleverly and beautifully. They knew very well about the world and less about Allah. Hazar Hud (A.S) was sent to make them familiar with Allah. His name is mentioned 25 times in Holy Quran.  

5. Hazrat Saleh (A.S)

Hazar Saleh (A.S) was the descendant of the Prophet Noah (A.S). Allah sent Prophet Saleh (A.S) to warn the people of Thamud to get rid of their evil ways as they were very strong and built grand buildings. His name is mentioned nine times in Holy Quran. He died after living a life of 280 years.

6. Hazrat Lut (A.S)

Hazrat Lut (A.S) is the Prophet of Allah. He was sent to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah as a Prophet. His name is mentioned 17 times in the Ayats of the Holy Quran.  

7. Hazrat Solomon (A.S)

Hazrat Solomon was the Prophet of Allah and sent on the people Israelites. He was blessed with a level of Kingship which was not given to any other person before and after him. Arab historians mentioned him as the best ruler of the world. His name is mentioned 17 times in Holy Quran. 

8. Hazrat Ilias (A.S)

Hazrat Ilias (A.S) was among the Israelite Prophets. His name came twice in the Holy Quran.

9. Hazrat Al-Yasa (A.S)

He was the Prophet of Allah Almighty. He grew up under the care of Hazrat Ilias (A.S). His name came twice in the Holy Quran.

10. Hazrat Yunus (A.S)

Hazrat Yunus (AS) was the Prophet of Allah. He was sent to an ancient town of Iraq. His (A.S) name is mentioned four times in the following Surah of the Quran; Surah An-Nissa, Surah Al-An’am, Surah Yunus, Surah As-Saffat.

11. Hazrat Zakariya (A.S)

Hazrat Zakariya (A.S) was one of the Prophet of Allah Almighty. His (A.S) name is mentioned seven times in the Holy Quran. 

12. Hazrat Yahya (A.S)

Hazrat Yahya Ibn Zakariya (A.S) was one of the early preacher of Islam. His (A.S) name is mentioned five times in the Holy Quran.

13. Hazrat Isa (A.S)

Hazrat Isa Ibn Maryam (A.S) was sent to the nation of Israel. Hazrat Isa’s (A.S) name is mentioned 25 times in the Holy Quran.

14. Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S)

Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) was a well-renowned Prophet of Muslims. He built the Khana Kabba first time. In different 25 surahs of the Holy Quran, His (A.S) name is mentioned more than 170 times. 

15. Hazrat Ismail (A.S)

Hazrat ismail (A.S) was the eldest son of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S). His (A.S) name is mentioned 12 times in the Holy Quran.

16. Hazrat Ishaq (A.S)

Hazrat Ishaq (A.S) was the son of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and his wife Sarah. His name is mentioned 17 times in the different Surahs of the Holy Quran. The tomb of Hazrat Ishaq (A.S) and his wife is in the Mosque of Ibrahim, Palestine. 

17. Hazrat Yaqub (A.S)

Hazrat Yaqub (A.S) was the son of Hazrat Ishaq (A.S). He (A.S) continued the preaching process of his elders. He (A.S) was the grandson of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S). His name is mentioned 16 times in the Holy Quran.

18. Hazrat Yusuf (A.S)

Hazrat Yusuf (A.S) was the son of Hazrat Yaqub (A.S) and grandson of Hazrat Ishaq (A.S). His name is mentioned 27 times in the Holy Quran. 

19. Hazrat Shoaib (A.S)

Hazrat Shoaib (A.S) was an ancient Prophet. His (A.S) name is mentioned 11 times in the Holy Quran. He was sent as a Prophet to the Midian people. 

20. Hazrat Ayyub (A.S)

Hazrat Ayyub (A.S) is one of the Prophet of Muslims. His (A.S) name is mentioned Four times in the Holy Quran. 

21. Hazrat Musa (A.S)

Hazrat Musa (A.S) was sent as a messenger to the people of Egypt. His (A.S) name is mentioned 136 times in the Holy Quran. His name is also mentioned in the Holy Book Bible. 

22. Hazrat Harun (A.S)

Hazrat Harun (A.S) is one of the Prophet of Allah Almighty. His name is mentioned 24 times in the different Surahs of the Holy Quran. The tomb of Hazrat Harun (A.S) is located on a mountain known as Jabel Harun in Jordan.

23. Hazrat Dawud (A.S)

Hazrat Dawud (A.S) was one of the preachers of Islam. His name is mentioned once in the Holy Quran.

24. Hazrat Dhulkfil (A.S)

Hazrat Dhulkfil was the preacher of Islam. He (A.S) spent seventy-five years of His life preaching Islam to the people of Iraq. His (A.S) name is mentioned twice in the Holy Quran. The tomb of Hazrat Dhulkfil (A.S) is on the hill known as Makam Dagi in Turkey. 

25. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)

Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is the last Prophet of Allah Almighty. Allah sent Him (SAW) for the guidance of the people of the entire Universe. The two names of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are mentioned in the Holy Quran. The name Muhammad (SAW) is mentioned four times in the Quran, while Ahmed (PBUH) is mentioned one time in the Holy Quran. The name Muhammad (SAW) is mentioned in Surah Al Imran, Surah Al Ahzab, Surah Al Fath, and Surah Muhammad. The name Ahmed is mentioned in Surah As Saff.
