Rajab is the 7th month of the Islamic calendar. The meaning of Rajab is to respect. It shows that Muslims should respect the Rajab. Rajab is one of the 4 months of the calendar in which war prohibited. 

Shia Muslims claim that Rajab belongs to Hazrat Ali ibn Talib (RA). Hazrat Ali (RA) was born on the 13th of the Rajab. Hazrat Ali (RA) was the 1st caliph of Shia Muslims and the fourth caliph of Sunni Muslims.

• 4th Rajab is the birthday of Hazrat Muhammad Bin Yousaf Al Hussani. He is also known as Hazrat Khawaja Banda Nawaz.
• 5th Rajab is the birthday of Ali Ibn Muhammad Al Hadi. He was the Islamic scholar and the 10th Imam of Muslims.
• 9th Rajab is the birthday of Abdullah Ali Al Asghar bin Hussain (RA). He was the youngest child of the Hazrat Hussain Ibn Ali (RA). He was martyred in the battle of Karbala. 
• 6th Rajab is celebrated as the anniversary of Khawaja Moin ud din Chisti. 
• Nazim Al Haqqani was the spiritual Turkish Sufi. He died on 8 Rajab.
• 13th Rajab is the birthday of Hazrat Ali ibn Talib (RA). Hazrat Ali (RA) was the first child that embraced Islam at the age of 10 years. 
• Abu Talib ibn Muttalib (father of Hazrat Ali (RA) and Uncle of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)) died on the 26th of Rajab. 
• One of the most important and precious events in Islamic history was on the 27th of Rajab. It is also known as the Shab e Miraj, the night when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) visited heaven and hell. He (SAW) met with Allah Almighty and got a gift of five times prayer per day from Allah to His (SAW) ummah. It is the night of blessings. Muslims offer special prayers and fast on this day.
