Surah Adiyat

This Makki surah is the 100th chapter of the Holy Quran. There are 11 verses and 40 words in this surah. The meaning of the surah is chargers. The opening verses of the surah mention a fight that had taken place between Muslims and kafirs. While our Holy Prophet was in Madina. He heard the news of enemies coming to kill our prophet and Hazrat Ali. The enemies defeated the first waves of Muslims. Then Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) sent another group under the command of Hazrat Ali, and they won the battle and eliminated the enemies.

The opening verses of Surah Al-Adiyat narrate the running of steeds that are panting the breath early in the morning. With this being narrated in the Holy Quran, Muslims, on that occasion, took the enemies by surprise early in the morning and captured them with their belongings. This surah was revealed for the first time in the morning prayer by our Holy Prophet.
