In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

وَالۡفَجۡرِۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

By the Dawn ﴾1﴿

وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٍۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

And ten nights, ﴾2﴿

وَّالشَّفۡعِ وَالۡوَتۡرِۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

And the Even and the Odd, ﴾3﴿

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَسۡرِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۴﴾

And the night when it departeth, ﴾4﴿

هَلۡ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِىۡ حِجۡرٍؕ‏ ﴿۵﴾

There surely is an oath for thinking man. ﴾5﴿

اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) A'ad, ﴾6﴿

اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الۡعِمَادِۙ‏ ﴿۷﴾

With many-columned Iram, ﴾7﴿

الَّتِىۡ لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِىۡ الۡبِلَادِۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

The like of which was not created in the lands; ﴾8﴿

وَثَمُوۡدَ الَّذِيۡنَ جَابُوۡا الصَّخۡرَ بِالۡوَادِۙ‏ ﴿۹﴾

And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; ﴾9﴿

وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِىۡ الۡاَوۡتَادِۙ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

And with Pharaoh, firm of might, ﴾10﴿

الَّذِيۡنَ طَغَوۡا فِىۡ الۡبِلَادِۙ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands, ﴾11﴿

فَاَكۡثَرُوۡا فِيۡهَا الۡفَسَادَۙ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

And multiplied iniquity therein? ﴾12﴿

فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍۙ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

Therefore thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment. ﴾13﴿

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالۡمِرۡصَادِؕ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

Lo! thy Lord is ever watchful. ﴾14﴿

فَاَمَّا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكۡرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَكۡرَمَنِؕ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

As for man, whenever his Lord trieth him by honouring him, and is gracious unto him, he saith: My Lord honoureth me. ﴾15﴿

وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَهَانَنِ‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. ﴾16﴿

كَلَّا‌ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُوۡنَ الۡيَتِيۡمَۙ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

Nay, but ye (for your part) honour not the orphan ﴾17﴿

وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوۡنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنِۙ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

And urge not on the feeding of the poor. ﴾18﴿

وَتَاۡكُلُوۡنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكۡلًا لَّـمًّاۙ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

And ye devour heritages with devouring greed. ﴾19﴿

وَّتُحِبُّوۡنَ الۡمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّاؕ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

And love wealth with abounding love. ﴾20﴿

كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الۡاَرۡضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, ﴾21﴿

وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالۡمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاۚ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

And thy Lord shall come with angels, rank on rank, ﴾22﴿

وَجِاىْٓءَ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۙ‌ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكۡرٰىؕ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

And hell is brought near that day; on that day man will remember, but how will the remembrance (then avail him)? ﴾23﴿

يَقُوۡلُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَـيَاتِى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

He will say: Ah, would that I had sent before me (some provision) for my life! ﴾24﴿

فَيَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌۙ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

None punisheth as He will punish on that day! ﴾25﴿

وَّلَا يُوۡثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌؕ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

None bindeth as He then will bind. ﴾26﴿

يٰۤاَيَّتُهَا النَّفۡسُ الۡمُطۡمَٮِٕنَّةُۖ‏ ﴿۲۷﴾

But ah! thou soul at peace! ﴾27﴿

ارۡجِعِىۡۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرۡضِيَّةً‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾

Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure! ﴾28﴿

فَادۡخُلِىۡ فِىۡ عِبٰدِىۙ‏ ﴿۲۹﴾

Enter thou among My bondmen! ﴾29﴿

وَادۡخُلِىۡ جَنَّتِى‏ ﴿۳۰﴾

Enter thou My Garden! ﴾30﴿
