آ ہی گئے ہیں خواب تو پھر جائیں گے کہاں

آنکھوں سے آگے ان کی کوئی رہ گزر نہیں

کتنا جئیں کہاں سے جئیں اور کس لئے

یہ اختیار ہم پہ ہے تقدیر پر نہیں

ماضی کی راکھ الٹیں تو چنگاریاں ملیں

بے شک کسی کو چاہو مگر اس قدر نہیں
