عجیب شخص ہے اپنا بھی ہے پرایا بھی

یہ انتظار سحر کا تھا یا تمہارا تھا

دیا جلایا بھی میں نے دیا بجھایا بھی

میں چاہتا ہوں ٹھہر جائے چشم دریا میں

لرزتا عکس تمہارا بھی میرا سایا بھی

بہت مہین تھا پردہ لرزتی آنکھوں کا

مجھے دکھایا بھی تو نے مجھے چھپایا بھی

بیاض بھر بھی گئی اور پھر بھی سادہ ہے

تمہارے نام کو لکھا بھی اور مٹایا بھی
