دور سے شہر فکر سہانا لگتا ہے

دور سے شہر فکر سہانا لگتا ہے

داخل ہوتے ہی ہرجانہ لگتا ہے

سانس کی ہر آمد لوٹانی پڑتی ہے

جینا بھی محصول چکانا لگتا ہے

روز پلٹ آتا ہے لہو میں ڈوبا تیر

روز فلک پر ایک نشانہ لگتا ہے

بیچ نگر دن چڑھتے وحشت بڑھتی ہے

شام تلک ہر سو ویرانہ لگتا ہے

عمر زمانہ شہر سمندر گھر آکاش

ذہن کو ایک جھٹکا روزانہ لگتا ہے

بے حاصل چلتے رہنا بھی سہل نہیں

قدم قدم پر ایک بہانہ لگتا ہے

کیا اسلوب چنیں کس ڈھب اظہار کریں

ٹیس نئی ہے درد پرانا لگتا ہے

ہونٹ کے خم سے دل کے پیچ ملانا سازؔ

کہتے کہتے بات زمانہ لگتا ہے
