کھلے ہیں پھول کی صورت ترے وصال کے دن

ترے جمال کی راتیں ترے خیال کے دن

نفس نفس نئی تہہ داریوں میں ذات کی کھوج

عجب ہیں تیرے بدن تیرے خد و خال کے دن

بہ ذوق شعر بہ جبر معاش یکجا ہیں

مرے عروج کی راتیں مرے زوال کے دن

خرید بیٹھے ہیں دھوکے میں جنس عمر دراز

ہمیں دکھائے تھے مکتب نے کچھ مثال کے دن

نہ حادثے نہ تسلسل نہ ربط عمر کہیں

بکھر کے رہ گئے لمحوں میں ماہ و سال کے دن

میں بڑھتے بڑھتے کسی روز تجھ کو چھو لیتا

کہ گن کے رکھ دیے تو نے مری مجال کے دن

یہ تجربات کی وسعت یہ قید صوت و صدا

نہ پوچھ کیسے کڑے ہیں یہ عرض حال کے دن
