ہوش آیا انہیں کہ موت آئی
اپنے ارمان آپ کے وعدے
ان کھلونوں سے عمر بھلائی
پینے والوں کی خیر ہو یا رب
تیری رحمت ہوئی گھٹا چھائی
فکر سود و زیاں کی نذر ہوئے
وہ غم عاشقی وہ رسوائی
جستجو کی ہوئی تو یوں تکمیل
زندگی موت کی خبر لائی
سوزؔ جینے کی آرزو میں ہم
بن گئے موت کے تمنائی
