کیوں اسیر گیسوئے خم دار قاتل ہو گیا

ابوالکلام آزاد

کیوں اسیر گیسوئے خم دار قاتل ہو گیا

ہائے کیا بیٹھے بٹھائے تجھ کو اے دل ہو گیا

کوئی نالاں کوئی گریاں کوئی بسمل ہو گیا

اس کے اٹھتے ہی دگر گوں رنگ محفل ہو گیا

انتظار اس گل کا اس درجہ کیا گل زار میں

نور آخر دیدۂ نرگس کا زائل ہو گیا

اس نے تلواریں لگائیں ایسے کچھ انداز سے

دل کا ہر ارماں فداے دست قاتل ہو گیا

قیس مجنوں کا تصور بڑھ گیا جب نجد میں

ہر بگولہ دشت کا لیلیٰ محمل ہو گیا

یہ بھی قیدی ہو گیا آخر کمند زلف کا

لے اسیروں میں ترے آزادؔ شامل ہو گیا

le asiron mein tere 'azad' shamil ho gaya
