ہر گام سنبھل سنبھل رہی تھی

ہر گام سنبھل سنبھل رہی تھی

یادوں کے بھنور میں چل رہی تھی

سانچے میں خبر کے ڈھل رہی تھی

اک خواب کی لو سے جل رہی تھی

شبنم سی لگی جو دیکھنے میں

پتھر کی طرح پگھل رہی تھی

روداد سفر کی پوچھتے ہو

میں خواب میں جیسے چل رہی تھی

کیفیت انتظار پیہم

ہے آج وہی جو کل رہی تھی

تھی حرف دعا سی یاد اس کی

زنجیر فراق گل رہی تھی

کلیوں کو نشان رہ دکھا کر

مہکی ہوئی رات ڈھل رہی تھی

لوگوں کو پسند لغزش پا

ایسے میں اداؔ سنبھل رہی تھی
