خامشی سے ہوئی فغاں سے ہوئی

ابتدا رنج کی کہاں سے ہوئی

کوئی طائر ادھر نہیں آتا

کیسی تقصیر اس مکاں سے ہوئی

موسموں پر یقین کیوں چھوڑا

بد گمانی تو سائباں سے ہوئی

بے نہایت سمندروں کا سفر

گفتگو صرف بادباں سے ہوئی

یہ جو الجھی ہوئی کہانی ہے

معتبر حرف رایگاں سے ہوئی

دل کی آبادیوں کو پوچھو ہو

روشنی برق بے اماں سے ہوئی

تشنگی بے بسی لب دریا

میری پہچان ہی وہاں سے ہوئی

اتنی اجلی نہ تھی یہ راہ گزر

نقش پائے بلا کشاں سے ہوئی
