خالی ہاتھ سوالی چہرے
ادیب سہیل
ہم بھی ہیں اس شہر کے باسی
جس نے لاکھوں ہاتھوں میں کشکول دیا ہے
کل تک تھا یہ اپنا عالم
راہ میں وا ہاتھوں میں جب تک
اک اک چونی رکھ نہیں دیتے دل کو چین نہیں آتا تھا
گھر والی بھی اک دو خالی پیٹ میں دانے پہنچا کر ہی خود کھانے میں سکھ پاتی تھی
آج یہ منزل آ پہنچی ہے
کل سے زیادہ خالی ہاتھ سوالی چہرے
دل میں درد جگاتے ہیں
درد کے مارے جیب میں جاتا ہاتھ مگر رک جاتا ہے
ہاتھ چلا بھی جائے اندر تو چونی چھپ جاتی ہے
گھر والی کو پکی ہوئی ہانڈی پہ کبھی تو جبر سا کرنا پڑتا ہے
کبھی تو ڈھکن چھو تے ہی کچھ ایسی وہ ڈر جاتی ہے
جیسے ہانڈی میں کالے اور اندھے مستقبل کی ناگن چھپ کر بیٹھی ہو
