اور کرتا ہے شرمسار مجھے
زخم ترتیب دے رہا ہوں میں
اور کچھ وقت دے ادھار مجھے
پارسائی کا زعم ہے ان کو
کہہ رہے ہیں گناہ گار مجھے
فاصلے یہ سمٹ نہیں سکتے
اب پرایوں میں کر شمار مجھے
دل کے گلشن میں تم چلے آؤ
اور کر دو سدا بہار مجھے
ترک الفت کے بعد بھی اشفاقؔ
تیرا رہتا ہے انتظار مجھے

fasle ye simaT nahin sakte
ab parayon mein kar shumar mujhe
dil ke gulshan mein tum chale aao
aur kar do sada-bahaar mujhe
tark-e-ulfat ke baad bhi 'ashfaq'
tera rahta hai intizar mujhe
