کسی کے دھیان میں کچھ دن کو جا بسے تھے ہم

وہ غم ہو یا ہو خوشی کیف کم نہ ہوتا تھا

عجیب راہ سے ہو کر گزر رہے تھے ہم

بہت عزیز تھے ہم کو ہمارے دوست مگر

اک اجنبی کے لئے سب سے چھٹ گئے تھے ہم

کرم سے آپ کے سرشار تھا یہ دل لیکن

خوشی کی آنچ میں کیا کیا پگھل رہے تھے ہم

تمہیں تو یاد کہاں ہوں گے اب مگر وہ دن

نہ دیکھ کر تمہیں ہر لمحہ دیکھتے تھے ہم

وہ ایک کیف کا عالم وہ آرزو مندی

نہ جانے کون سی دنیا میں جی رہے تھے ہم
