ترے دھیان کے سب اجالے گئے

بس اب ہم ہیں اور دکھ بھری رات ہے

ہماری طرف بھی کبھی اک نگاہ

ہمیں بھی بہت نشۂ ذات ہے

سلگتا ہوا دن جو کٹ بھی گیا

تو پھر آنچ دیتی ہوئی رات ہے

شکایت کسی سے تو کیا تھی مگر

گلہ ایک رسم خرابات ہے

نیا دکھ تو ملتا ہے کس کو یہاں

مگر غم کی ہر شب نئی رات ہے

ہر اک شام تازہ امید وصال

ہر اک روز روز مکافات ہے
